Amenity Space has been involved in a number of civil engineering and infrastructure projects over the last 2 years. This is an area that greatly excites the practice as they have a a great interest in blurring the boundary between traditional engineering and technical innovation.

They have recently been invited as architectural advisors to work on a competition winning scheme for the Cultural Olympiad with artists 'The Owl Project' and Ed Carter from Modular to develop a design for a floating millhouse and waterwheel on the River Tyne, Newcastle. This structure will be complete by the 2012 Olympics.
